Hi! I’m 51Shark_4. My humans and I are new to the Raleigh, NC area. My favorite things are when they give me a good hand-washing, and when they let me fire up my siren!
This is my story, and you can follow my adventures as they unfold on my Insta account, @51Shark_4
I'll tell more about myself when I have a moment, but in short, the first car that DadHuman ever owned was a 1951 Ford Custom Deluxe, and as an adult he had always wanted to find and buy one just like it. Enter me! He found me in 1990, back when I was just a plain (but gorgeous!) black sedan. I liked him well enough, too, and decided to adopt him as my new human. He was really nice. He even let me take young MasonHuman to his high school prom in 1991!
DadHuman was confused, though. There were two buttons on the floorboard. He knew one of them was for the headlight high beams, but he had no idea what the other button was for. He did some research, though, and figured out the second button was for my siren. I didn't have the siren anymore, but he learned that I used to be a Fire Chief's car in Reidsville, North Carolina.
We lived near Washington, DC at the time (a place with a lot of humans), but DadHuman's brother worked for the government of Lee County, Florida, where DadHuman grew up. His brother searched the back corners of their warehouse, and found old Lee County sheriff stars and other accessories from when I was young! That was it. DadHuman decided to help restore me to my former glory. I may not be a Fire Chief's car these days, but I like the way I look even better! And I had so much fun with DadHuman in countless parades, car shows, and even a month-long cross-country driving tour from Washington, DC to a place called California, and back!
I'm sad that DadHuman isn't around anymore, but I like MasonHuman a lot, and am glad that he agreed to be mine. He brought me to Raleigh, North Carolina, which really looks like a wonderful place. I'm still getting settled in, but I look forward to meeting all of the other nice cars and humans around here!
